Chemical smell

"I am 46 and I had been using the previous Multi-defense fluid SPF 15 from Marcelle since I was 13yo. I bought all 3 products from the new line to try them out. I was disappointed to notice a chemical smell in the fluid and the cream. The smell lingers on my skin and I notice it throughout the day. The serum is SPF30 instead of 45 and does not smell at all. So I don’t know if the higher concentration of chemicals needed to reach SPF45 are responsible for the chemical smell in the fluid and the cream, but given that SPF 30 blocks 97% of ultraviolet light, while SPF 50 blocks 98. 5%, why aren’t all the products from this line SPF30??? If lower concentrations of active ingredients removes the smell, please reconsider your formulations to make them all SPF 30! Although i like the serum, I fear it might lead to a shiny face in the hot summer days and I am not sure I will get used to the fluid’s smell…. I hate having to look for a new SPF fluid or cream after using Marcelle for 30 years!!!"
